Sreemoyee Piu Kundu

Sexuality, women, popular culture and gender defines author Sreemoyee Piu Kundu’s career, preceding her literary foray. Sreemoyee has held Senior Editorial positions in The Asian Age, Bombay Times, Mid-day, India Today, Metro Now & Times of India. She then diversified into PR building key media strategy at Genesis Burson Marstellar and Hanmer MS&L, New Delhi.
Sreemoyee made her literary debut with Faraway Music, (Hachette) in 2013. Her second book, Sita’s Curse (Hachette)– an erotic fiction, launched in 2014 was a national best-seller, earning her the epithet, ‘Erotica Queen'. Sreemoyee’s third novel that hit the Bestseller list, You’ve Got The Wrong Girl (Hachette) broke new ground as a woman writer foraying into lad lit. Sreemoyee has also completed her fourth novel, a multilingual ten-part play, Cut! (Fingerprint). Her first non-fiction, Status Single (Amaryllis) is soon to be out.
Sreemoyee is the recipient of the L’oreal NDTV Women of Worth award in the category of ‘Literature.’ She is a Ted talk Speaker.
