Mini Sukumaran Nair was born in Nagpur and raised in different cities across India. She holds a master’s degree in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from the University of Pune. She worked for several years with an Inclusive School as a Life Skills Educator, Counselor and School Social Responsibility Head. While at work, she scripted songs, stories and plays for children and teachers and also wrote her first book for children called “Chimni Da Dhaba” (Published by Scholastic, India) in 2004.

Presently she practices as a Psychotherapist and works as a consultant and Trainer in the areas of Conflict Transformation and Peace Building, Life Skills Education, Trauma Healing and Culture of Peace for Schools.
