PINK actress Kirti Kulhari has made a remarkable impact with the movie Pink. Known to do sensible movies, the actress is amongst very few who can manage to create engagement with a non glamorous roles. The actress played the role of a working girl from Lucknow called Falak and received appreciation for an empowering performance. Kirti brought intense emotions to her performance of a feisty working girl. The actress is not only overwhelmed by the “love, responses, feedback” the film has garnered but is also excited at having had a chance to work with Amitabh. She says, “To be in the same film, the same frame and the same scene with Amitabh Bachchan was amazing. He represents Bollywood in a way that it’s unimaginable.”
Kirti Kulhari has also won over the critics with her acting skills. While the actress considers the film a milestone in her career, she says she will always remember it for teaching her to be unapologetic about being a woman. She says, “Personally, it has affected me a lot. I’ve stopped blaming myself for being a woman. I’ve stopped being apologetic about my sexuality and become comfortable with myself. I’ve stopped caring how others are going to perceive me if I wear something that they don’t like. I have realised it is easy to point fingers at others but the moment you start questioning yourself, you become a better person”.
The actress was recently seen in a very new avatar in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Indu Sarkar" and Kirti played a poet with a speech disability. She is also going to be taking a huge stride by featuring opposite Irrfan Khan in his next.
